Volunteers are the backbone of Habitat for Humanity.
We are currently accepting inquiries from individuals and groups about volunteering at the ReStore and on our construction sites.
Volunteering with Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity has a direct impact on supporting our mission. If you have community service hours to fulfill, or you simply want to make a difference, we would be honored to have you as a volunteer. You will enjoy a rewarding and valuable experience while meeting new people, networking, and learning new skills.

Donate a Lunch
During our Saturday build days, our dedicated construction volunteers and homeowners are working alongside one another building what our homeowners will soon call home. As a way to say thank you, we offer our volunteers and homeowners lunch on each Saturday during our build season. As they work side by side and eat together, community grows, and people are engaged in the lives of others.
We provide lunch as a thank you for their hard work through the contribution of churches, community groups, restaurants and community-minded businesses.
We welcome a prepared individually bagged/boxed lunch that your group can deliver to the build site (or we can pick it up) or a cash donation to order lunch for a build day.
