Our Critical Home Repair program is designed to assist homeowners in Winnebago County with repairs that would enable and empower them to continue living in their homes long-term. We hope to serve as many people as possible, and truly believe that this program has the potential to meet a crucial need in our community.

Examples of repairs we CAN assist with: (This is not an exhaustive list) – Ramps, Windows, Roof Repairs, Doors, Porch Repairs

Examples of repairs we CAN’T assist with: (This is not an exhaustive list) – Landscaping, painting, anything cosmetic

Qualifying for our Critical Home Repair Program

Most of the funding for this Critical Home Repair program is for “low income” households, or households bringing in less than 80% of the Area Median Income. To see if your household falls below 80% of the “Area Median Income,” you can use the chart below. To qualify for this Critical Home Repair program, applicants will need to show a household income lower than the limits shown in the chart. When applications are released, they will include instruction on how to provide documentation of household income.
