Every year, volunteers build Habitat homes alongside local families. This process helps to build strength, stability, and self-reliance in the Rockford community, and we would love to invite you to be a part of it. There’s no construction experience needed to volunteer on our build sites, and you can sign up as an individual or as a group. Signing up is easy! Our Women Build events are a part of an international initiative to recruit, educate and inspire women to build— and advocate for—safe, affordable housing opportunities for local families. The Women Build program has been an official initiative of Habitat for Humanity International since 1998, and Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity hosted our inaugural Women Build in 2018.
