The Home Depot Foundation Funds Veteran Repair in Rockford

Veteran Repair for Fernando and Family Completed

We are thrilled to announce the completion of a critical home repair for Fernando and his family, a proud veteran, through Habitat for Humanity’s Repair Corps program. This vital work was made possible by the generous support of The Home Depot Foundation.

The Habitat for Humanity Repair Corps, part of the Veterans Build program, is dedicated to improving the homes and lives of U.S. military veterans and their families. Since its inception in 2012, funded entirely by The Home Depot Foundation, the program has contributed over $32 million and assisted in the repair or rehabilitation of more than 1,800 homes. This year alone, The Home Depot Foundation has donated $2.5 million to continue this important work.

Our team identified and addressed critical health, safety, and accessibility needs in Fernando’s home, ensuring a safer and more comfortable living environment for his family. We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Home Depot Foundation for their unwavering support and dedication to our veterans.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this project a success. Together, we are building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
