Empower Change: Rockford Women Build Fosters Unity and Invigorates Community Growth

Why we build: 

At Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity, we build homes because we envision a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to live. Together with volunteers and future homeowners, we’re not just building houses—we’re empowering lives and creating communities. 

How can I help?

This year, in addition to rolling up our sleeves and volunteering, we need your help to lay down the foundation of hope, one room at a time. The cost to build the average Habitat for Humanity home is $160,000. The cost for each room is broken down into simpler categories as such: 

• Bedroom (each): $19,200
• Bathroom (each): $8,000
• Living Room: $35,200
• Dining Space: $28,800
• Kitchen: $24,000
• Garage: $44,800

Imagine the tangible difference your support can make—enabling families to experience the security of their own bedrooms, the comfort of a cozy living room, the joy of meals in a dining area, and the love that flourishes in a kitchen. Each space in a home we build with Women Build reflects resilience, unity, and boundless opportunities. Our objective is straightforward: unite to fund a critical part of the home—the kitchen—where countless memories are made and shared.

• Level 1: $100 raised: T-shirt + previous level
• Level 2: $150 raised: Tumbler + previous levels
• Level 3: $250 raised: Tote Bag + previous levels
• Level 4: $500 raised: Hard Hat + previous levels
• Level 5: $1000 raised: Hoodie + previous levels
