Volunteering with Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity has a direct impact on our community. Whether you would like to build with us, you are a professional who would like to use your skills to support our mission, or you just want make a difference in the Rockford area, we welcome you to volunteer with us. Rockford ReStore<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

(a building supply reuse and surplus center)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you volunteer at the ReStore, you are supporting Rockford Habitat\u2019s work. All proceeds from the ReStore fund Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity\u2019s operations, including building homes in the Rockford area. There are many ways you can volunteer, including processing donations, recycling, customer service, and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you\u2019re looking to volunteer at the ReStore regularly or just one time, there are plenty of opportunities to learn, have fun, and make friends. Volunteering with us is flexible and based on your schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Construction<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Volunteer on construction site and help build a local family’s home. You can volunteer as an individual or as a group. Construction experience is helpful and valued, but not required to volunteer with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, volunteers build Habitat homes alongside local families. This process helps to build strength, stability, and self-reliance in the Rockford community, and we would love to invite you to be a part of it. There\u2019s no construction experience needed to volunteer on our build sites, and you can sign up as an individual or as a group. Signing up is easy!
